Episode 205: Gaze (3)

summary :

Yerim started clearing the dungeon with Blue when she felt something weird.

“…uh? »

Park Yerim, who was sitting leisurely on Blue’s back, waiting for the team members, tilted her head.

She felt weird.

The air seemed to tremble a little.

Blue also stopped turning and flapping its wings in place.

“This… something similar before…”

When the boss changed in the first dungeon. And when the giant toad appeared. It was similar to the twist at that time. Park Yerim shouted,

« Danger! »

The golden wings leaned greatly. Along with using the Golden Arrow and flight assistance skills, the S-Class Wind Ruler skill was also activated. The air winds around Blue and lowers the wind resistance. As the wings filled with energy moved vigorously, the appearance of Blue and Park Yerim riding on it disappeared.

It was a terrifying speed that was close to teleportation. The two quickly moved away from the place, and after a while, the empty space distorted.

[Not this time.]

She heard something like a faint voice. Park Yerim opened her eyes round.

Feeling confused.

Monsters began to appear. At first glance, they weren’t the ones who could appear in the A-Class lieutenant dungeon. In particular, the monsters similar to the pterosaurs that appeared in the sky were S-Class dungeon bosses in size and overbearing.

Park Yerim, who was looking around in confusion, saw her team members approaching. She tapped Blue’s back with her hand, asking her if she could deal with them. Pointing at the pterosaur and speaking, Blue opened her beak with confidence in an affirmative way.

Yerim told her to not fight and just give them some time.

Not knowing if Blue can understand.

However, Blue is also the boss monster of S-Class dungeons. She had skills focused on flying, so she wouldn’t get hit easily.

Park Yerim tapped Blue’s back once more and moved toward the team members. As soon as she left, Blue screamed loudly and flew like a pterosaur.

Park Yerim, who arrived in front of the team members using the teleportation skill in a row, shouted to Blue to stop the monsters.

She started explaining the situation to her team members and explaining the monsters she saw. However, the pterosaur was a monster she had never even heard of.

Park Yerim’s appearance disappeared in an instant, and the remaining team members rearranged the line.

She flew next to Blue who shook her tail as she circulated around the pterosaur. Although it was several times larger and the scales were thick, the pterosaurs’ flying skills were far inferior to those of Blue. Several times already, a huge beak poked in the air.

Thanks to that, the lump that protruded from the back of the head was burning red unlike the first to see if it received quite a bit of heat. As Park Yerim appeared, it took a deep breath and opened its mouth.

A hot wind rattled along with a loud shout. As if it was burning, a sharp fever fired toward them like hundreds of arrows. Park Yerim quickly groaned toward the front, and Blue flapped her wings and pulled back.

Yerim told Blue to deal with it fast so her teammate won’t get caught up in it, and pointed to a lake they saw earlier, telling Blue to fly towards it.

As Blue responded briefly to directions, she cried and began to fly away. It was a speed that could allow pterosaurs to pursue them without even using acceleration skills. The pterosaurs, whose attacks were defeated, followed after them. It seemed as if a huge shadow was approaching, as they heard the sound of a crackling beak intermittently.

Soon, the lake was within view. Following Park Yerim’s instructions, Blue speeded up. The griffon’s four toes came down low enough to touch the water, and Park Yerim turned and went into the water.

It was a quiet entrance with little sound. At the same time, as expected, the day without shadows unfolded with magic and attribute buffs.

The moment the pterosaur, who was following without knowing anything, flew low aiming at Blue that descended on the other side of the lake,

dozens of waves of water gushed up.

It was a tremendous amount of water that would make the lake empty. The pterosaur’s body and wings were pounded, and its neck and legs were wrapped around it. The pterosaur was struck by its whole body, and fluttered, unconscious. The chill raged. The waters surrounding the pterosaur were all frozen, and ice thorns as hard as steel began to rise. The thorns break through the frozen scales, and the cold also seeps through.

In the end, the pterosaur completely froze while being wrapped around dozens of ice vines. It was the sight of a strange and huge ice sculpture erected above an empty pit.

Complimenting Blue, she replied from a distance. Park Yerim took out a mana potion and approached her.

Chatterbox muttered as if disappointed. Something like a bead shattered from his grasp.

Chatterbox pulled out a new marble as if he couldn’t help it at the tumultuous look of jellyfish who were with him being so excited. He told him to be prepared, because newcomers will surely interfere. It was even said that they found a new successor to be the system master.

This is the first time since Thunderbird gave up.

Chatterbox sighed amidst the sincere support for him.

Myungwoo, Noah, and Yoojin were sitting in a small terrace garden on the middle floor of the building. Although it is narrow, the flower beds are neatly decorated, and the tables and chairs are placed to match.

Noah told Yoojin that Minui was bored and wanted to work at the cafe.

Yoojin also told Noah that if he has some difficulties, he can tell him, and he will deal with them.

Noah shook his head and replied that foreign Hunters can earn class recognition only by attacking dungeons of the desired class on their own initiative. But he was a little reluctant to enter an S-Class dungeon. They have to find a temporary team member, and it will take a long time.

So, he said he found another way instead.

He asked the Breaker Guild Leader to say that he had received a guarantee of at least three Korean S-Class Hunters, including the guild leader.

Yoojin asked him if that’s the case, isn’t Haeyeon alone enough? Yoohyun is the guild leader, there is Yerim and Sunghan, so there are only three.

Noah said that he cannot go with the same guild member and stopped mid-way

Having an expression as if he was upset about something.

Noah told Yoojin that he doesn’t want to receive Han Yoohyun’s help.

Confused, Yoojin asked why. Noah replied that receiving help from him doesn’t mean much to him.

Yoojin understood it as a sense of rivalry between the two since they are the same age and class. Because they were boys, he thought it was cute and how boys usually get to know each other after quarreling like that.

Yoojin asked Noah if he had received class recognition.

Which he did as he passed the screening and contacted him, saying that they will send him a Hunter card soon.

He congratulated him.

Noah laughed a little embarrassedly.

Myungwoo asked Yoojin if he was going to sleep at his house today.

Yoojin looked at Velare, who circled around the table after Chirpie. He wasn’t sure about what to do since the kids aren’t there and it’s lonely. Yoojin asked them both if they would like to stay the night with him instead.

When they finished drinking, Haeyeon contacted Yoojin.

What else happened this time?
